Terms of Service

Effective July 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of precutwindowtintkits.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from PreCut Window Tint Kits ("we," "us," "our"). By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the Site.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to place an order. All orders are for personal or business use in the United States. If you're ordering on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Products, pricing, and availability

Every precut window tint kit sold on the Site is computer-cut from a vehicle-specific pattern to fit a specific year, make, model, and generation of vehicle. Fit is our responsibility; installation is yours. We reserve the right to modify prices, product specifications, and availability at any time without notice, though we will not change the price on an order that has already been accepted and paid.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable state or local sales tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.

In the rare event of a pricing error (e.g., a kit listed at $1 due to a data-feed bug), we reserve the right to cancel and refund the affected order rather than fulfill at the erroneous price.

3. Order acceptance

Submitting an order through the Site is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted only when we send an order-confirmation email. Until then, we may cancel and refund an order for any reason, including suspected fraud, out-of-stock inventory, or shipping-address errors.

4. Payment

All payments are processed through Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the full order amount, including shipping (currently $0 for U.S. orders) and taxes. You represent that any payment method you use is yours to use.

5. Shipping

We ship free within the United States, next business day, via USPS or UPS depending on your address. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. See our Shipping page for full details.

Risk of loss transfers to you when the carrier accepts the package. If a package is lost or damaged in transit, contact us within 30 days of the ship date and we'll work with the carrier and, when appropriate, ship a replacement kit at no cost.

6. Returns and refunds

We accept returns of unopened kits within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. Opened or partially installed kits are not returnable because the film cannot be resold once removed from its protective liner. See our Returns page for the full return process, including free return shipping for unopened kits.

7. Warranty

Every kit — Standard and Ceramic — includes a 1-year manufacturing-defect warranty against film failure under normal use, including bubbling, peeling, color shift ("purple-shift"), and adhesive failure. The warranty is only valid when the kit is installed by a licensed professional automotive tint shop. DIY installations are not covered by the warranty at all. To submit a claim, you must provide a dated invoice from a licensed installer showing the vehicle and installation date. Warranty covers material replacement only; it does not cover installation labor, glass damage, damage caused by aftermarket window treatments, subsequent tint layers over ours, environmental damage, or damage from ammonia-based cleaners used within 30 days of installation. The warranty is non-transferable and expires 12 months after professional installation regardless of ownership changes. Full details on our Warranty page.

8. DIY installation — your responsibility

Our kits are designed for do-it-yourself installation, and while we provide installation instructions, video guides, and free 1-on-1 install support, installation is at your own risk. You are responsible for:

  • Correctly identifying your vehicle's year, make, model, and generation before ordering
  • Preparing your workspace (clean environment, appropriate temperature, adequate lighting)
  • Following installation instructions and taking your time
  • Not damaging your vehicle's glass, weather stripping, interior trim, or defroster elements during install
  • Choosing a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percentage that complies with the tint laws of the state(s) where you drive the vehicle

We will replace a kit under warranty for film defects, but we do not reimburse for damage to your vehicle or for the cost of professional removal or reinstallation.

9. Tint-law compliance — your responsibility

Window tint darkness (VLT), reflectivity, and coverage restrictions vary by state and, in some cases, by county or municipality. We publish a state-by-state summary on our tint laws page as a convenience, but that summary is not legal advice and may not reflect recent changes to the law.

You — not us — are responsible for confirming the tint laws in your jurisdiction and choosing a VLT that complies. We sell 5%, 20%, and 35% VLT options, some of which are legal only for rear windows in certain states. By ordering, you represent that your selected VLT complies with your local law, or that you accept the risk of installing tint that does not.

10. Intellectual property

The Site, its content (including but not limited to product photography, illustrations, written guides, and code), the PreCut Window Tint Kits name and logo, and the underlying cutting patterns are our property or the property of our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or reverse-engineer any of it without our written permission. Buying a kit doesn't grant you any rights to the cutting patterns for resale or duplication.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Other than the express warranty in section 7, the Site and the products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any specific vehicle will be covered by our catalog at any given time, or that installation on your specific vehicle will produce a specific aesthetic result.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreCut Window Tint Kits and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Site or a kit — including damage to your vehicle during installation, loss of use of your vehicle, or costs of professional tint removal.

In no event will our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to your use of the Site or a kit exceed the amount you actually paid us for the kit at issue.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or on liability for consequential damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PreCut Window Tint Kits from any claim, damage, loss, liability, cost, and expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or a kit, or your violation of any tint law or vehicle regulation.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase from us that cannot be resolved by direct communication with our support team will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and the arbitration will take place in Pasco County, Florida or by video conference, at your choice.

You and we each waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a class action. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in the state or federal courts located in Pasco County, Florida for intellectual-property infringement or unauthorized use of the Site.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't accept the updates, stop using the Site.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Email us at hello@precutwindowtintkits.com. We reply within one business day.

The plain-English version: Fit is on us — the kit will fit the vehicle you selected. Install is on you — we help you if you get stuck, but if you scratch your paint we're not paying for repaint. Tint-darkness legality is on you — check your state's law before you order. Warranty covers film defects only, not damage from misuse. If we ever end up disagreeing about something, we'll try to work it out over email, and if that fails we'll do arbitration in Florida rather than a lawsuit.
