Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Order and account information — name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number (if provided) when you place an order. Collected only when you check out.
• Payment information — credit-card or bank-account details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials.
• Vehicle and product information — the year, make, model, and tint configuration you searched or purchased. Used to fulfill your order and to prioritize which vehicles we add to the catalog.
• Communications — the contents of emails and support messages you send to us.
• Usage information — pages visited, referrer, general geographic region (city-level), device type, browser type, and interactions with the Site, collected via Google Analytics 4. See section 3 for detail.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Process, ship, and support your orders
• Respond to your customer-support requests
• Send transactional emails (receipts, shipping updates, warranty communications) — always through Stripe or a comparable transactional email provider
• Improve the Site — which pages need more content, which vehicles to add, where checkout drops off
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and payment disputes
• Comply with our legal obligations (tax, accounting, regulatory)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run behavioral advertising campaigns based on your browsing on the Site. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-party services we use

The Site relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects payment information directly from you. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site analytics. GA4 uses cookies and collects IP-based approximate location, device information, and page interactions. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Google Customer Reviews — after checkout, we may show you a Google-hosted prompt asking if you'd like to receive a post-delivery review survey. Opting in is fully voluntary. If you opt in, Google will contact you directly via the email address associated with your order. Google's handling of that email is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Merchant Center — our product catalog is submitted to Google as a data feed to enable Shopping listings. The feed contains only product information (title, description, price, image URL, category), never customer information.
• Netlify — hosts the Site and processes serverless functions. Netlify may log IP addresses and request headers for infrastructure security purposes. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
• Email service provider — transactional email (receipts, shipping notifications, support replies) is sent via Stripe's built-in email tools or an equivalent standard provider. No marketing lists, no newsletter opt-ins.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage tokens:

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions.
• Local storage — used to remember whether you've already been prompted for a post-purchase review opt-in, so we don't ask twice on a refresh.
• Payment cookies — set by Stripe on their checkout pages, outside our control.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies won't affect your ability to browse or check out.

5. Data retention

We keep information for as long as we need it to serve the purposes it was collected for and to meet our legal obligations. In practical terms:

• Order records: 7 years (tax and accounting requirements)
• Support-conversation logs: 3 years
• Warranty claim records: for the duration of the product warranty (1 year from professional installation)
• Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics 4 default)

You can request earlier deletion of your account and any records that aren't required for legal reasons — see section 7.

6. How we protect information

All traffic to and from the Site is served over HTTPS. Payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. We restrict access to order information to the small team that fulfills, ships, and supports orders. We don't store payment credentials, ever.

That said — no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information and expect our vendors to do the same, but we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to know what information we hold about you
• Right to correction if the information we hold is inaccurate
• Right to delete your information (subject to our legal record-keeping requirements)
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information — we don't sell personal information, so this doesn't apply, but the right is available if the practice ever changes
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@precutwindowtintkits.com from the address on your order. We'll verify your identity by matching the email address on your order and respond within 45 days.

California residents: the rights above are provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected such information, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy from time to time as our practices, vendors, or legal requirements change. When we do, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top and — for material changes — notify recent customers via email. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
